The National Diet Building contains both houses (House of Representatives and House of Councilors) of the Japanese government.
Completed in 1936, it is located in Nagatachō, Chiyoda, Tokyo.
Nearby is the National Diet Library.

… the Japanese Prime Minister’s official residence called Sōri-daijin Kantei or simply Kantei.
During our last visit to Tokyo, we want to a restaurant in Meguro specializing in hegi soba – it was around New Years and eating soba is a tradition.
Hegi soba is made from buckwheat and funori seaweed and is served in a special plate called a hegi as pictured below.
The restaurant was a typical izakaya so we had some finger food dishes as well as beer and sake to wash it all down.
The soba as well as the other dishes were all delicious.
