Photo of the Day: Imperial Palace Bridge

The Imperial Palace in Tokyo is the home of the Emperor of Japan (the Japanese head of state). There are two bridges called Nijubashi that form an entrance to the inner palace grounds. The stone bridge in front is called Meganebashi (Eyeglass Bridge) for its looks.

It is said that the Nijubashi bridge is one of the most photographed scenes in Japan.

  2. This is one of the “must see” places in Japan. You have captured it so beautifully! I like the view of the Fushimi turret behind the bridge, too.
    Thanks for sharing.
