Moehaku 2010
The first annual Moehaku 2010 show was held in Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Tokyo on March 21, 2010.
Entry fee was 2,000 (or 1,500 in advance) or about $20.
Moehaku is an exhibition of itasha decorated cars.
Itasha is a Japanese term for an otaku fad of individuals decorating the bodies of their cars with fictional characters of anime, manga, or video games.
These characters are predominately cute (“kawaii”) female. The decorations usually involve paint schemes and stickers.
Automobiles are called itasha, while similar motorcycles and bicycles are called itansha and itachari respectively.
Hatsune Miku was a popular character.
Finally, she was a cool cosplayer.
I posted a few YouTube videos as well.
Thanks for these! Maybe I’ll go out there next time.
The Tokyo Anime Fair is this weekend, at Big Sight. I’m thinking of going on Friday.
I am working on Friday plus we still have visitors so I will probably go to the Tokyo Anime Fair on Sunday (probably the most crowded).

The pics are awesome 🙂 Especially the cosplayer in white 🙂 Japanese always amaze me, hehe.
Thanks – I am still quite new to photography … at this point, I am going for volume instead of quality 🙂
