A mikoshi (portable shrine) arrives at one of its interim destinations along the streets of Shinjuku during the 2010 Annual Festival of the Hanazono Shrine.
Note: It looks like the Annual Festival of Hanazono Shrine for 2011 has been cancelled 
Great photo, nice to see tradition alive especially in a place like Shinjuku. Why was it cancelled? Tsunami?
Thanks for the comment. Yes, it seems that a number of festivals have been cancelled due to the disaster earlier this year.
