Yokohama Motomachi Shotengai
Near Yokohama Chinatown, you can find Motomachi Shotengai (shopping street), a fashionable shopping street with several hundred well-established designer brand boutiques, cafes, bakeries and unique stores.
Its beginning can be tracked back to 1859 during the opening of the Yokohama Port. The street initially served the needs of the first foreign residents of Yokohama, and introduced many products to Japan.
Today, Motomachi-dori, which still has a certain European feel, runs 500 meters and is open to pedestrian traffic only on weekends from 12-6 pm.
