Tokyo City View
The Mori Tower located in Roppongi Hills is the 5th tallest building in Tokyo, standing at 238 meters.
The roof is open to the public called the Sky Deck and has a helipad.
On the 52th floor, the building’s observation deck is called Tokyo City View and offered great views of the Tokyo Tower. Admission is 1,500 yen ($15).
Finally, a great sunset with a silhouette of Mount Fuji.
How long did you have to wait for the sun to go down once you were at the top?
No long, about 15 minutes – timed it right. It was also a nice day, wasn’t too cold or windy.
Wow! Stunning view! Good shots! I have never actually seen a photo of Tokyo like that: for some reason, most of my views of Tokyo are street views.
I didn’t know there was an Eiffel Tower like that, either.
All in all…impressive.
There is also a Statue of Liberty replica in Tokyo (Odaiba) as well
. Thanks for the nice comment!
I’ve been to the art museum in the Mori Building, but didn’t even know about the roof at the time. I love going to observation floors in buildings. I’ve got to go there now!
We have also been to the museum (called Mori Art Museum I think). The Skydeck open maybe a year or so ago only so maybe when you visited the museum, it wasn’t open yet.
Ah, I was at the museum in 2006. So, I guess it wasn’t open then.
Bartman, nice work, these are great shots. Any chance of putting higher rez of them on flickr or some other photo share site? I’d love to use the one of the lit up Tokyo tower as my Desktop wallpaper!!
Thanks for the nice comments. I have uploaded to Flickr, go to my Photostream at http://www.flickr.com/photos/38711148@N00/
