Tsukiji Honganji Noryo Bon Odori Taikai
In a recent post, I wrote about a Bon Odori dance event held at Zojoji Temple. During the month of August, and especially during Obon week, many Bon Odori festivals are held throughout Japan.
Last week from August 4-7, 2009, a Bon Odori event was held at Tsukiji Honganji Temple in Tokyo, Japan. Tsukiji is famous of its fish market (which is only open in the early morning).
Before the actual Bon Odori dance started, there was a taiko drum performance.
Many participated in the Bon Odori dance, young and old, men, women and children. Many were dressed in yukatas.
